Compare hashrate over time
Hashrate describes computational throughput, commonly expressed in H/s or kH/s. One kH/s is 1,000 H/s. Before comparing two readings, check the unit, the algorithm being measured and the observation period.
Mining software and a pool do not necessarily observe the same thing at the same moment. A local reading, an estimate based on submitted shares and a multi-hour average are not interchangeable. Compare the same metric over similar periods rather than relying on a single peak.
An active worker has recently submitted work
MoneroDash uses pool information to show workers and their activity. The timestamp of the last accepted share is a useful reference. A pool estimate may stay positive for a while after a miner stops, so a positive number alone does not prove that a machine is currently running.
If a worker appears inactive, check its power, network connection and mining software messages. The app does not restart the computer and does not replace continuous fault monitoring.
Accepted and rejected shares
Share counters help you follow the results submitted to the pool. A rejected share does not automatically mean a hardware failure. Check the associated miner message, network connection and how the counter changes over a meaningful period.
Avoid comparing only raw counters for workers that have been running for different lengths of time. Also check that both interfaces refer to the same public address and worker.
Unpaid balance, threshold and received payment
The unpaid balance is the amount still held by the pool for your address. It is different from a payout already sent to your wallet. Progress shows the distance between that balance and the threshold entered in the app settings.
Actual payment is handled by MoneroOcean. Changing a threshold in MoneroDash does not change the pool’s rules or settings. To verify a transfer, consult the pool’s official payout history and your wallet. MoneroDash does not hold funds.
Estimates are not promised earnings
Displayed earnings and payment times depend on network data, observed hashrate, market price and the settings used. An estimated next payout can move earlier or later. It is not a guaranteed date.
Cost analysis uses the wattage and electricity rate you enter. Hardware cost, taxes and other expenses are not automatically deducted. These figures help you examine assumptions; they do not guarantee a financial outcome.
When your dashboard looks out of date
First check the reading timestamp. In the background, Android and iOS may delay refreshes depending on energy settings and permissions. Returning to the app and refreshing requests a new reading when the network and pool are available.
To reconnect from scratch, read the MoneroOcean connection guide. The official pool dashboard remains the reference for pool statistics and payouts. MoneroDash is independent of Monero and MoneroOcean.
